Metro Moderna
Metro Moderna is one of the first photo series that I had completed, and was my submission for my Bachelor of Arts Degree. Since then, I have learned quite a bit, however, I am proud of what I had accomplished at the time, with the resources I had access to. The below photos were all taken with 4x5 Fujifilm Provia film, and each exposure lasted anywhere from 18 minutes to an hour, utilizing a 10 stop neutral density filter. Due to how they were captured, and the materials I had access to, you can occasionally see the reflection of the camera in the filter I used. The goal, at the time, was to create a collection of images that were reminiscent of the photographs of Louis Daguerre, the grandfather of photography. This photo series was captured around the busy streets and highways of Boston, MA.
